Mint vs. H2K in EMS Groupstages

Posted by: xilef

Tonight at 8PM BST London Mint go head to head against one of the best French teams, H2K, in the EMS Season II. Currently sitting at the top of their group, this will decide Mint's final standing in the group, and whether they will qualify directly to the quarter finals. H2K are coming off a succesful 2nd place finish at the recent LAN79 tournament, and are widely considered to be the 2nd best team in France.

H2K-Gaming : maLeK crZ rFlex SmithZz Day RpK

There are large cash prizes available for the winners of this tournament, so the stakes are high, and both teams will be gunning for the win.

Prizes:
1st Place : €1.500
2nd Place : €900
3rd Place : €600

SourceTV is available at tv1.verygames.de:28004, and you can find more information on the game HERE. Best of luck to both teams.

Update :
Mint managed to get a first half score of 4-11 on T side, a fairly respectable score for de_train, which is heavily defense biased. The second half played out very similarly but with the teams reversed, and finished 11-4 also, leaving the final score at 15-15.

Chenery had this to say about the match :

After coming back from the combine, having not played any pistol rounds or de_train for a month, we weren't best prepared, and it showed, we lost both the pistols but made a brilliant comeback at 14-5 down to tie the game, unfortunately we let it slip a bit so it ended in a draw, but drawing is better than losing. We now have to play a qualifying match vs 3rd in group 2 to advance, since we came 2nd in our group.

As Chenery pointed out, this leaves them in 2nd in the group, putting them through to the qualifying stages for the rest of the tournament, where they will face the 3rd place finisher of Group B.

lost both pistols and drew 15-15, gg!

we came 2nd in group this means, so we have to play 3rd place in group 2 when we know who it is to progress!

Do you think a lollypop man would know karate???
