Ben: Blog created! All of mint are finally setup in the BYOC area and are pretty much ready to go. We have 35 minutes until our first game and i haven't even checked the brackets yet. It's been a hectic afternoon. Sujoy paid us a visit to drop off some equipment and to say good luck for i34, which was cool. Paddaman has just arrived too, he's here to give us all some support, which is awfully nice of him.

ChriSSyB: Due to moaning and the recognition that i am the Franchise player, i will be the Co-Blogger for the tournament. Nothing much to say for now, i'm having trouble installing Fifa atm and this morning i've just been driving around picking people up. Fifa tournament starts tommorrow now for me so i have time to warm up and chillax.

Ben: Just helped EG.COD4 out by securing them a monitor rental through our good friend at Wired Inn cafe, Derby. They are now ready to rip up the COD4 tournament, good luck to them!

Our CSS guys do not play for another hour, funnily enough we play on everyones favourite mill remake, de_tuscan, woot!

Ben: CSS guys literally about to kick off against cK on de_tuscan in the first group game. Paddaman is trying his luck at VF5 but he hasn't put any practice in for the event and knows he'll find it tough to qualify to WCG UK. Stune and Chris do not play until tomorrow so they are sitting here practicing, good lads!

Paddaman: Yo, it is really I, the legend, who has decided to emerse himself amongst the filth of lan gaming. Don't worry though, Paddamaniacs, I am still a thumb bandit at heart and have opted to participate in VF5, a game of immeasurable skill in comparison to your puny PC FPS titles, with very little experience. To make matters worse, the rules hinder my control set-up. I am still confident, though, because I may not know the most about this game, I may not press all the right buttons, I may not have the fastest reactions, but I am very very smart.

Ben: CSS are around about 25-3 up right now against cK, not bad.

Ben: CSS won easily by the scoreline of 27-3, time for our next game. Non of the other mint guys play until tomorrow.

Ben: Another straight forward victory for the CSS team, 16-7.. We now have one final group game of the day and if we win that we'll top the group and progress as the winners. As it stands i doubt i'll be staying around long after that.. I'm actually knackard and need some quality sleep for a change, one hell of a long day for everyone tomorrow.

Ben: Just started our last group game, 3-0 up so far! THey won the pistol and opted to play T, mmkay!

Ben: Morning! What a lovely nights sleep we all had, only being disturbed by a fire alarm at 1am! nice! We're setting up to play against Qs.CSS now, they are joint top of our group, so if we over come them we'll finsh top of our group, which is ideal. You might be a special guest appearance in CSS from myself in the 404 game.. I'll have B on de_dust2 on lockdown, trust.

Ben: Just beaten Qs.CSS 16-2 - I've 100% decided to sub my self in for the next game against 404, i suggest you watch the HLTV if there is any as i'm going to rip it up.

Ben: Just beaten 404!! I got a cool 12 kills! 16-0 to MINT! We're going to finish top whatever happens so the superstar sub(me) will be playing the last game insted of hudzG, YES!

Stune is in the NFS final of WCG, Chris is in the upper finals against Bazza, which is AWESOME!

hudzG: Hey guys/gals :), just sat here watching ben play the last group game which is an awesome experience, so far the tournament has been fairly straight forward for us and we will be finishing top of our group which now means the big games are about to start. Coming into this event from LA we are more confident than ever and it feels like the time is right everyone is having an awesome time ingame and outside of game, so stay tuned for an awesome ride! :)

Ben: Yey! Stune won WCG NFS UK final, congrats to him!!!!! free trip to WCG!! hopefully some money too. Waiting for the CSS brackets to be updated so we know who we're playing next. Also.. ChrissyB beat Bazza 3-0 in the upper final to get to the WCG UK finals. Bazza has made his way through the lower finals to play Chris again, things are looking up, i expect another win our FIFA superstar in a few hours time.

ChriSSyB: Now then, back to business. The 1st game with Bazza was fairly close with me missing an open goal and a few other good chances, with me doing one of them "ChriSSyB moments" and nearly gifting bazza another goal, by passing to his player, then the ball rebounding off the post...eek. 2nd half was nice though, i had alot of chances and converted 3 of them. So now i have to win one of the last 2, i don't plan on letting it go to the 2nd, but worse come to worse i have a back up. However, i'm currently 10 goals "For" and 0 goals "against"....i only expect one value to change :D

Stune: Im really happy to have won Need for Speed. It was a great experience to not only pick up the game in 2 and a half weeks, but to also win so convincingly against experienced NFS opposition. The track choice suited us both (GunSmith and Myself) and i will be looking to build further on those performances in Germany later this year.

Stune: Just been watching some PGR races. Birmingham Salvo's Daveyskills looks to be up to speed, only lacking some of his usual consistancy due to lack of practice. He is making mince meat of some of the lower competition opponents and looks to make it into the semi finals without really being tested. Best of luck to him. I think C&C might be on stage next, might go and watch some of that to see World Champ Apollo do his thing

Ben: What a mess!!! CSS tournament is all messed up, the brackets are totally wrong. We've spoken to the admins in order for them to amend the brackets but they seem far too reluctant to change them. It's being sorted right now.. Also, if the brackets stay as they are, Salvo play de_train 3 times in a row! nice!

Off to watch Chris play in the WCG final, lates!

Ben: wow, what a one sided game. Chris was 2-0 up about 1 minutes of real time into the game, about 18 minutes inside the game.. the final score was 4-1. Im happy for chris, scoring 7 against someone who is the current "world champ" is pretty good, shows he's still UK's no1 individual player. Im happy for him!!! Now we play mousetek in CSS, hopefully Mint's winning trend continues and we make it all the way to the final.

ChriSSyB: Anyhow, :-). I feel relieved more than anything, the last month has been a rollercoaster, i obviously lost in the UK Final in CGS, then we got knocked out later to Optx, with both teams we lost to, going onto the World Final. I truely believed we deserved to be in the World Finals instead of some of the other teams. So it's nice to of restored my name and to of done it convincingly as well. Happy for stune also for dominating the NFS Final, can anyone say Treble? GL to our CSS!! GOGOGO Like a Rocket!

Ben: A while since the last update, but i been walking around watching the Qtour CSS 1v1 comp, and meeting up with my old 4K buddies. Which is cool.. Mint CSS about to play Fragmasters(formally guns4hire) who finished 3rd at the CGS combine, should hopefully be an interesting game.

Ben: Wow? Going up 15-9 and then almost throwing it away against Toxic! - Insane. We pulled through and won 16-14 which is nice. We are in the upper bracket semi final tomorrow vs emulate who had a rather easier time of beating Anomoly 16-4, good old brackets.

Ben: Finally we arrived at the venue! We left for the venue 45 minutes ago and got stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway, there was a big crash :( 3 of our CSS guys are still stuck in it, they'll be here soon hopefully.. our first game is in 40 minutes..

Ben: My gosh! What a crazy game. We go sick mode first half and win 12-3 against emulate, then we end up losing 14-0 in the 2nd half! Crazy! Both CGS teams in the lower bracket now.. not good. If we win our next game against k1ck we have to play SALVO, cant wait, let's hope we beat k1ck to get a CGS UK rematch game setup.

All is not lost!

Ben: LOL. In a round we needed to win to draw the game at worst a bird positions itself above henryg's pc and does a big dump! It messed up his keyboard for the rest of the damn, little bastard. Cadred took pictures of it.

We won the game 16-13 at least, maybe the bird shit is a good luck sign?

Ben: Sigh, we started off so well against against Salvo and ended up throwing it away, getting eco'd quite a few times, losing rounds we should of won and people not communicating properly, not good.. we lost 16-11.

What we going to do now? Well it's Tom's birthday tomorrow so we'll probably end up hitting the hotel bar for a bit then going to town, although some of the guys are going home today..
