Mint i33 Results

This weekend two of London Mint's squads competed against the best Europe had to offer in their respective games at the Multiplay i33 tournament, held in Newbury Racecourse.

ChrisyB of the London Mint FIFA competed in the FIFA 08 Xbox competition, and went head to head against numerous top players, including the PS3 world champion dries, jivago of Team Dignitas, and one of the biggest up and coming names in FIFA, HughJarse.

Chrisy managed to finish the tournament with a flawless record, winning every game comfortably, including the final against HughJarse which he won 2-1.

Our Counterstrike : Source team also attended arguably the most competitive CSS tournament to date, with tons of the best teams in Europe attending. After losing to Birmingham Salvo earlier in the tournament, they worked their way back, and faced them again in the finals where they lost in a close match, earning them a second place finish and a nice prize purse.

Tom "Chenery" Chenery had this to say on the results:

We are really pleased with our 2nd place, although we know we could have done better. The results we acheived vs the top teams at the event were pretty good, and we only lost to Salvo throughout the whole tournament. Thanks to Scan.co.uk for providing us with PC's for the event.
